I don't...

...really like these, but they were used as reference for a pose in a photoshoot. Drawn off of a photo we found online somewhere.

I kinda...

like this one better when rotated horizontally, but for the sake of consistency, I posted it as originally drawn. I think it was about a month ago?

Toodle-doot.

Doodle-poot.

movementNORTH / dave.

Puff..

This... I don't know what this is. I like that it has a flower sprouting atop its weird little head.

movementNORTH / dave.

Man, ...

this little guy just makes me happy as fuck. I enjoyed every part of making him. I almost want to actually make a comic around it.

movementNORTH / dave.

Thom Yorke..

Poor quality, but I still kind of like it anyway. From Rolling Stone, if memory serves. Drew this while the girl was doing a photoshoot with one of our favorite photographers.

movementNORTH / dave.

Dan Radcliffe, I think.

A photograph out of, I believe, Details magazine.

movementNORTH / dave.

I only include this b/c it is the first thing in my most recent sketchpad.

movementNORTH / dave.

The cat thing...

is not mine. I don't remember if it was from Aaron Alexovich or Jamie Smart. I think the rest of it was out of my head. I like the sassy looking smoker in the bottom right corner.

Density.

Yes, they are stupid, but pages like this are always so much fun for me. I just did really terrible crayon graffiti and decided the page would be better served by loads of scribblings instead of abandoned to shite crayolas.

I am considering re-posting this at a greater magnification, b/c there are tons of details that don't really translate at this size. Unimportant details, but details nonetheless. Evidence, I guess, of how much fun it really was.

By Odin's great and bearded trunk...

I wish those stupid wings or cape or whatever the hell it is didn't exist, b/c I otherwise kind of like this weird little bugger. I think this was about two, three years ago.

movementNORTH / dave.

I told you...

Tons of pages like this. I think this was also 2001. Go check out Z? to see what Jhonen Vasquez is up to nowadays. Or just follow his twitter.

I love drawing those fucking cloven boots.

movementNORTH / dave.
I honestly couldn't tell you when or why this happened. I know it's somewhat recent, maybe three or four years ago? but that's about it. This is one of those pages that was clearly all me, not me drawing something else.

My boot!

This is my boot! I loved it so much I decided to draw it. Then I probably got bored or sidetracked or had to mow the yard or something and never finished this. I still have those boots.

A Nny Odyssey

2001. I have tons of these. I just really dug the art style and loved working with a pen. I have no idea what happened to all of the stuff between about 1996 and 2001. I think most of it was trashed in the great comics purge, when my family decided they were the devil.

movementNORTH / dave.

Twelve years old.

I didn't even notice I just posted Cable and Apocalypse back to back, ha.

I went through a phase where I would pose action figures so I could draw them. This is probably my favorite from that time period.

I'd just sit up all night, with them in different positions on my desk, listening to the Rock Shop and the Alternative Jam, sketching away.

movementNORTH / dave.

This one..

says '95, so I guess that makes me eleven.

If I remember right, this was from a trading card. I always like this one. It's really light here, though.

movementNORTH / dave.

I think...

I was about eight when I drew this. It's the earliest sketch I could find.

I think this was a folder I drew.

Most of what I draw is freehand copying. I hate tracing, but I am not good at just closing my eyes and making pictures appear. Well, aside from some, which are clearly recognizable.

Still no Dave. Scan fucker.
